Local Authors at Chateau St Ferriol 22 September 2018

Greetings all.  Hope you have all had a great Summer.

There have been some adjustments to how James and I are working at Cathar Country Tours over the summer.

James and I have divided our activities.  James is now exclusively giving conferences and tours in the spheres of Cathar Heresy and the ‘Albigensian Crusade’ that rocked the course of European history.   James continues with the week long Original and the Advanced Cathar Country Tours. James is as always available for public speaking and conferences.
I frequently work with those with a broad interest in the history and mysteries of this fascinating, beautiful and unspoiled corner of France.  I work with local experts such as James, Henry Lincoln, Tim Wallace murphy, Anaiya Sophia, Annie Williams and Richard Stanley to bring on the rich and diverse tapestry of the history and legends of the area.
I also love to help groups target the ideal accommodation, restaurants and travel arrangements for them.   Always taking care to find an authentic experience, reliability and good value.

We are looking forward to hearing your plans for 2019.

Some of you may know that james and I have been renovating the Chateau de St Ferriol for the last 20 years.   We are finally taking a break and this special building needs people as nuts as us to continue the renovation with a spare million quid like we used to have!  Chateaux eh! Here is a link to read more about the sale.

We continue with our associative events for the Chateau and are hopeful that the new owners will be as passionate about the Chateau having a role in the local community as we are.
For those of you that are local I will tell about the next event.  On 22nd of September 2018 we are having two non fiction writers James McDonald and Tim Wallace Murphy and new historical fiction writer Susan Kaberry (endorsed by James McDonald) talking about their work in the Great Hall of Chateau St Ferriol.
You can find more details about the day here.
I would also like to share news of our dear and talented friend Danielle Eubank.  Danielle is the artist who painted the picture of Charlotte, Joy and Princess ripping down a hill in front of the chateau.  It is the title of my Facebook page. www.facebook.com/sophie.duncan.9041

Danielle has been going on intrepid voyages on replica historic boats  for 20 years, as long as we have been renovating the castle, and this is her fifth voyage.  Her paintings of water are very beautiful and the reflections after all this time on the final lap of the journey are inspiring.  Here is the link for the intrigued.
